We are seeking a CHILDCARE TEACHER to join our team at New Horizon Academy - St. Paul York Ave in the following classrooms:
All applicants MUST:
• Be reliable and have positive work ethic.
• Have a minimum of 16 qualifying semester credits to qualify as an Assistant Teacher under MN Rule 3.
• Be able to work full-time (about 40 hours/week).
• Have a passion for working with children!
*Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required.

Welcome to the St. Paul – York Avenue New Horizon Academy! Our school is located in the Payne–Phalen neighborhood between I-35E and US-61 and has been serving St. Paul children and families since 2018. We are one of six New Horizon Academy daycares in St. Paul, Minnesota. With beautiful classrooms, highly trained teachers, rigorous health and safety procedures, and national accreditations, we know your family will feel right at home at New Horizon Academy! Our St. Paul early childhood center has two infant childcare rooms, one infant-toddler transition room, two toddler childcare rooms, five preschool and pre-kindergarten rooms, and one school-age room. We use a research-based daycare curriculum that includes STEAM, reading, social-emotional learning, and more – all with the goal of preparing young children for kindergarten and beyond! Our St. Paul early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.
Our St. Paul school offers both full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate the different needs of our families.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy St. Paul (York Ave), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.
