Welcome to New Horizon Academy – Best Buy! Our school is conveniently located in Richfield, Minnesota, in the Best Buy Corporate Headquarters off of I-494, I-35W, and Penn Avenue. We proudly serve as Best Buy’s corporate-sponsored childcare center, while also welcoming families from the public! Our Richfield daycare opened in 2003, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and holds a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware. Our Richfield childcare center has six infant daycare rooms, four toddler daycare rooms, and six preschool and pre-kindergarten rooms. All of our childcare classrooms utilize an age-appropriate curriculum, which incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. We utilize age-appropriate learning modules to prepare children for kindergarten and life beyond! We’d love to meet your family and show you our beautiful daycare classrooms. I am originally from Upper Michigan and moved to Minnesota in 2003. New Horizon Academy – Best Buy is the only center I have worked at, and I love it! My two children also went to New Horizon Academy from infancy through preschool. They still talk about their great experience!

Our Richfield early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.
Our Richfield school offers both full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate the different needs of our families.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Richfield (Best Buy), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.
