The St. Paul Downtown New Horizon Academy is conveniently located in the Securian building off 6th and Robert Street in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. We proudly serve as Securian Financial’s corporate-sponsored childcare center, while also welcoming families from the public. Our daycare opened in 2000 and is one of six New Horizon Academy schools in St. Paul. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and hold a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware. Our St. Paul childcare center has three infant daycare rooms, three toddler daycare rooms, and three preschool and pre-kindergarten rooms. All of our childcare classrooms utilize an age-appropriate curriculum, which incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. We utilize age-appropriate learning modules to prepare children for kindergarten and life beyond! We’d love to meet your family and show you our beautiful daycare classrooms. Our St. Paul early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.
Our St. Paul school offers both full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate the different needs of our families.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy St. Paul (Downtown), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.
