The St. Michael New Horizon Academy is conveniently located off I-94 and 45th Street NE, near the St. Michael Cinema. Our St. Michael daycare opened in 2007, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and holds a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware. Our St. Michael childcare center has two infant rooms, two toddler rooms, four preschool rooms, and one school-age room. All of our childcare classrooms utilize and age-appropriate curriculum, which incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. My name is Tarah Stang I have been working in early education for almost 20 years. I love welcoming new people to our school family! When I am not at the center with our school family I enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling with my family and friends.

Our school hosts a variety of teaching staff with some incredible long term staff members including 10 and 20 plus years of service. We are NAEYC accredited and 4-star parent aware rated. Our building just completed a remodel, so everything is updated and fresh.

Our St. Michael early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.
Our St. Michael school offers both full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate the different needs of our families.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy St. Michael, we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack. All meals are included in the cost of tuition.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.
