Our school is located in the Plymouth Oaks neighborhood, off Interstate 494 and Rockford Road, and has been serving Plymouth children and families since 1991. Our Plymouth early childhood center has one infant classroom, one infant-toddler transition room, one toddler room, and three preschool rooms. We use a research-based daycare curriculum that includes STEAM, reading, social-emotional learning, and more – all with the goal of preparing young children for kindergarten and beyond! I am married and have 3 grown boys; I have lived in Minnesota since 2000. I enjoy traveling, horseback riding, motorcycle rides with my husband, spending time out on our boat, and going on walks with our dog.

I have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education with a minor in Literacy. I also have a Master of Education in Literacy. I have passion for our youngest learners and love sharing my joy of reading. I see myself as a lifelong learner and hope to instill that in all the children I get to work with!

Our Plymouth early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.
Our Plymouth school offers both full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate the different needs of our families.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Plymouth (Rockford Road), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack. All meals are included in the cost of tuition.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.

As a father of twin boys, I was always skeptical of daycares. My fiancé and I decided to take a chance on New Horizon Academy, and it’s been the best decision we’ve ever made for our kids. They’ve provided the best care for infants, toddlers, and beyond and are always attentive, especially when it comes to kids’ fun and safety. My boys have the best time here and the staff is like a second family. My kids will continue to go here until they are ready to move on to kindergarten!

We’ve enjoyed our time at New Horizon Academy in Plymouth. The staff take great care of the kids and are well organized throughout their day.
