New Horizon Academy Minnetonka is located conveniently in Minnetonka, Minnesota, just west of I-494 on Minnetonka Boulevard, and nestled within the Manchester Village neighborhood. We have been serving families in Minnetonka, Woodland, Deephaven, and Wayzata with quality childcare and early education services since 1986. Our school has two infant daycare rooms, one toddler daycare room, and two preschool and pre-kindergarten rooms. At our Minnetonka childcare, we use a comprehensive curriculum that includes character development, STEAM, literacy, motor skills, and more, all with an emphasis on building confident and excited learners. I grew up in Saint Michael, Minnesota with one sister and three brothers. I enjoy outdoor activities including fishing, 4-wheeling, grilling, and sitting by a bonfire. I also enjoy taking walks and exploring nature. My family is very important to me and I cherish all the time I spend with them. I currently live in Zimmerman, Minnesota with my husband, Toby, our miniature Australian Shepherd, Roxie, and hoping to grow our family in the future!

What do you like about early childhood?
I love the profound impact early education has on young minds. I enjoy watching children discover the world around them, develop new skills, and grow their confidence. Last but certainly not least, the daily joy of my role includes countless hugs, smiles, and high fives received from the amazing children in our care.
What makes your school unique?
We offer a warm, home-like atmosphere that makes every child feel comfortable and secure. Our coziness helps create a sense of belonging and familiarities. Our teachers strive to connect with all children we care for, even if they aren’t in the classroom they work in each day. The teachers are passionate about their jobs in helping shape young minds.

Our Minnetonka early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.
Our Minnetonka school offers both full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate the different needs of our families.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Minnetonka, we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.

This location has a warm, family style feel to the whole center. My child has grown exponentially under the care and teaching of the staff here. I have full confidence in her ability to attend kindergarten fully prepared in the future. The management is very helpful, friendly, and communicative.
