The Coon Rapids New Horizon Academy is conveniently located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota off Highway 10 and Hanson Boulevard. Our Coon Rapids daycare opened in 1989, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and holds a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware. Our Coon Rapids childcare center has two infant daycare rooms, one toddler transition room, two toddler rooms, four preschool and pre-kindergarten rooms, and one school-age room. All of our childcare classrooms utilize an age-appropriate curriculum, which incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. We utilize age-appropriate learning modules to prepare children for kindergarten and life beyond! We’d love to meet your family and show you our beautiful daycare classrooms. Hi! I’m Natalie and I have been working in Early Childhood Education for almost 10 years! I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Special Education. I love working with children and seeing them learn and grow. Having children ask for a hug or learn something you have taught them is such a magical experience.

I love being an asset to early childhood education! Our Coon Rapids early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.
Our Coon Rapids school offers both full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate the different needs of our families.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Coon Rapids, we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack. All meals are included in the cost of tuition.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.
