Our SciKids at New Horizon Academy program provides children with opportunities to engage in a wide variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) activities. From participating in engineering challenges to exploring motion, gravity, and energy, your child will have ample opportunities to work on their school-readiness skills, all while having fun. By the time they head off to kindergarten, they will have all of the skills necessary to succeed in school and life!

Your preschooler will plan, plant, and tend their garden. They will observe, track, and study the growth of their fruits and vegetables to build their math and scientific skills. They will learn about healthy eating habits and will use the fruits and vegetables they planted to make different recipes. Your preschooler will have a blast on their gardening adventure.
Preschoolers love water! We will follow their interests to discover the importance of water and its many uses at school and at home, investigate how water changes, and learn about how water helps people and the environment. Through hands-on STEAM experiments, your preschooler will learn about how water changes from liquid to gas, liquid to solid, and solid to liquid; learn the importance of water conservation, and meet interesting people who use water in their daily lives. Your preschooler will enjoy exploring the wonderful world of water.

How did toys work before batteries? They relied on physics. We will put science to work as we explore how the hows and whys of motion, gravity, energy, and more. We will make our own one-of-a-kind creation.
We will open a door into the fascinating world of architecture. We will engage our imaginations, learn about structures we see every day, study iconic architectural wonders, and learn about famous builders. We will embark on an adventurous challenged of creating our own amazing structures.

Throughout the day, you will receive updates through a mobile app which allows our teachers to send messages, photos and videos with updates on your child’s day. You are also welcome to use it to send your child’s teacher a message.
